Title

Counsel and Wise Counsel

Scripture
“Plans are established by counsel; by wise counsel wage war.”
(Proverbs 20:18:)
Devotional
Wise counsel is more than advice. It is guidance, influence, and authority. There is the counsel of the masses and then there is the counsel of the core. The first is to be heard with a light ear; the latter is to be listened with an ear toward obedience. ?David, Solomon, and all the prudent kings of Israel, sought wise counsel from godly men, especially in regards to waging war. We too are in a state of war whenever we attempt to accomplish God’s will. Our enemy, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Therefore, it is imperative that we seek wise counsel. ?Listen to the input of others. Weigh it, consider it, and filter it. Get a plan of action and then get input into your plan. Most importantly, have an ear to hear.
