Title

There is A Mediator

Scripture
Nor is there any mediator between us, who may lay his hand on us both.
(Job 9:33)
Devotional
Job knew that there was a redeemer. For he said, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth.” What he did not realize was that his Redeemer was his mediator. The apostle Paul instructed Timothy, “There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” We do have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous. Satan was not only the accuser of Job; he is the accuser of you and me as well. Job thought that he was defenseless. He did not realize that he had a counselor and a defender, the Lord Jesus Christ. We to have this advocate, mediator, counselor and defender. Satan will continually bring railing accusations against us, but each and every time Christ rises to the challenge and presents His case to the Father and the Father pronounces us “Not guilty!”
