When a question arises about or against the things of God how are we to answer? When a tradition is questioned where do we go for validation? Whether it is the confirmation of doctrine or the acceptance of customs we are to go to the divine response, the Word of God. We are entitled to our opinions, but just because we are entitled to them does not make them acceptable. Whenever there is a disagreement, go to the Word. Whenever there is uncertainty or doubt of any kind, again, go to the Divine response, the Word of God. The most powerful response anyone can give is, “The Bible says…” The problem arises when we do not know what the divine response says. This is why every believer is to be a student of the Word. We cannot only rely of another’s knowledge and understanding. We are to answer the question, “What does the divine response say?”Daily Reading
