Title

God Knows His Clay

Scripture
Would you indeed annul My judgment? Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?
(Job 40:8)
Devotional
The judgment of the Lord is the Word of the Lord. When we fail to keep God’s Word we are saying by our actions that we are declaring void His judgments. We say in essence that God is wrong; He is guilty and does not know what He is talking about or doing. We must not condemn God because we may not understand what He is doing or why He is allowing certain things to happen. God as Creator molds His creation as He wills. The clay may not understand the forming, but the proof will be in the vessel. To be molded and shaped takes turning and bending. These aspects of growth are seldom pleasurable. Character change is never easy. Nevertheless if we choose to trust the Potter we can find joy even in the process. God knows the clay. We cannot take Him by surprise. We can trust Him, even in the times of molding.
