Title

May We Measure Up and Pass The Test

Scripture
I, the Lord search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
(Jeremiah 17:10)
Devotional
Man measures man by his appearance. God measures man by his thoughts and by the deeds of his heart. Therefore, the judgments of the Lord are altogether righteous. It is not so much what we do that matters as what we think in our hearts, because what we think in our hearts will eventually bear fruit. We cannot hide who we are forever. Sooner or later we will expose our ways. Sooner or later we will receive our just reward. It is for this reason that we are to examine ourselves. Let us judge ourselves that we would not be judged. Let us search our hearts and let us test our minds. Let us ask ourselves, “Why am I doing the things that I am doing?” “What are my motives?” Honest questions will bring about honest answers. We must keep our minds and hearts clean before a holy God. He is searching them and testing them. May we measure up and may we pass the test.
