Is the Lord There?

The name of the city… shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.(Ezekiel 48:35)
Devotional
Ezekiel is not just talking about heaven. He is talking about the place where the people of God dwell. Our cities will never be referred to by this name until our homes are known by it. When you think about your home, do you think of it as the place where the Lord dwells? How about your church? Is the Lord there? If not, there is no one to blame but you and me. You will always find God where He is welcome. Is He welcome in your house? Is He welcome in your business, your hobbies, your thoughts and your church? I have found that you cannot have Him in one without inviting Him into the others. We cannot compartmentalize God. We cannot accept Him here and reject Him there. God cannot be divided into secular and spiritual. Church is not a place where we go to visit God. It is the place where we take Him. If He is not in your Home, you most likely will not find Him in your church. When someone looks at your life, can they say, THE LORD IS THERE?Daily Reading
