Title

Name-Droppers

Scripture
Many seek the ruler’s favor, but justice for man comes from the Lord.
(Proverbs 29:26)
Devotional
Most of us enjoy knowing people of notoriety or fame. We either are or know name-droppers. I have known a few famous and even infamous people in my day, and, like most, have reveled in my associations. Nevertheless, I have found that people are people. Each and every one of us has been created in the image of God. Every man, woman and child has great value. Man measures that value by wealth and fame. God measures value through those who are being transformed into the likeness of His Son. If we are to seek the favor of any man, we ought to seek the favor of those who have found favor with God. The favor of man is at best temporal. The favor of God is eternal. It is good to have found favor with both God and man. But remember justice comes from the Lord.
