Feigned Blindness

Scripture
The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.
(Proverbs 29:13)
Devotional
The poor man has all the light he needs to get out of his poverty and the oppressor has all the light that he needs to know that what he is doing is wrong. No one will ever stand before God on the Day of Judgment and be able to say, "I did not know I never saw the truth." Let us remember, "The Lord gives light to the eyes of both." If you have Christ in your life, you have all the light you need to make righteous decisions and make good choices. Romans 1:20 says it this way, "They are without excuse."[1] Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world."[2] And Isaiah says, "Let us walk in the light of the Lord."[3] If we fail to see the right that we are to do, it is because we are not looking. It is that simple. We feign blindness to justify our sin. Let us open our eyes to the truth and stop are foolish self-imposed blindness.
