Devotional
Do you have a successor? Who will fill your proverbial shoes when you leave? Having a need for a successor varies according to the level of our leadership or the dependence others may have on us. Nevertheless, each of us will leave a void when we depart. The wise will attempt to prepare another to fill that void. Naturally, the greater the influence, the greater the need to mentor another to satisfy our absence. Many great organizations have failed because there were no replacements. The church has survived and flourished over the past two millenniums because Christ at His departure inaugurated His Spirit. Will your business or endeavor likewise survive and flourish at your departure? Whom are you mentoring? If you would not show up at your work or business today, is there somebody or some bodies to keep things, not only going, but progressing? Think about it. If not, you may need to start mentoring.
