Great Leaders Require Less Government
Scripture
Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes; but by a man of understanding and knowledge right will be prolonged.(Proverbs 28:2)
Devotional
Because of rebellion there will be a need for much government intervention. However when there is a godly leader, order will prevail and control will be minimal. Whether in government, business or any organization a lawless people will require much oversight. The key is to have leadership in place that is willing and ready to lead not lord over the people. Again, it matter not the entity. In our families, churches, communities or commerce godly leadership is of the greatest necessity. This leadership is to be called, not necessarily chosen. That is, true leadership rises to the occasion and is recognized by the people as such. It is not to be chosen by popular vote or seniority. It is to be recognized in the character and integrity of the person called to lead. Leadership can be learned. We are all called to lead certain areas of life. It is likewise to be desired.[1][1] 1 Timothy 3:1
