A gracious woman retains honor, but ruthless men retain riches.(Proverbs 11:16)

I do not understand the full meaning of this Proverb, but I do understand the beauty of a gracious woman who retains honor. There are few things that make a woman more beautiful than a woman who is kind, courteous and respectable. Her language is gentle and proper. Her demeanor is filled with dignity and others rise in her presence. She is a lady. There is no doubt of her gender. She knows her rank and is confident of her status. She is secure, for her value and merit come from the Lord. Ruthless men can and do retain their riches but often to no value. But this gracious woman retains her honor to great value. Her graciousness is not contingent on the economy or even her fame; it is just who she is and who she endeavors to be: a woman of dignity, a lady. Let men work hard, but let the women be ladies.Daily Reading
