My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself; Yes, my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak right things.(Proverbs 23:15-16)
Devotional
O the depth and wisdom of God's Word. Do you see the manifold teachings in this father's proverb to his son? Right words come from a right heart. A wise son causes his father to greatly rejoice. To have a wise son is the joy of every father. For that son to speak rightly obviously brings success and reward to both father and son. Let us be godly examples as fathers and let us be obedient manifestations as godly sons. Fathers teach your children to be wise by teaching them God's word. Instruct them in righteousness. Teach them to think purposefully. Get them reading, especially the Word of God. They in turn will attain a wise heart and bring exceedingly great joy to you in your years of wisdom. Sons and daughters, you have the ability to bring rejoicing to your parents. You and only you can make their hearts rejoice to the depths of their inmost being.Daily Reading
