Man Did Not Create God

Scripture

Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine.
(Job 41:11)

Devotional

God was not created by man. He is not some abstract figment of man’s imagination. He is absolute God. We are not entitled to our own idea or view of God. He has revealed Himself in His Word and by His Spirit clearly. The universe and all that is within it belongs to Him and was created by Him and for Him. He is its owner. He not only owns it He controls it. Therefore, nothing happens by chance, especially in the life of a believer. As sole owner, the Lord God is answerable to no one. His creation is answerable to Him. You and I belong to Him. We are accountable to Him with regard to His creation. We are stewards of all the He has placed in our care. Our talents, gifts, abilities, families, finances and our very beings are to be used to His glory. He owes us nothing. We owe Him everything. It is for this reason that He sent His Son, that we would know Him and the power of His resurrection. Do you know Him, really know Him?
