We Speak What We Believe

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke.”(2 Corinthians 4:13)
Devotional
If we truly have faith in Christ we will frequently speak of that faith. We will always have an appetite to speak about that which is most important to us, and if Christ is important to us, we will be compelled to often speak of Him. Since we as believers have the same spirit of faith, we ought to build up each other in that faith through godly conversation. If you want to know what you believe, listen to the things of which you speak. If you want to know where someone’s heart is, again, listen to their conversations. We will likely be drawn to those with whom we are like-minded. The faith of our friends often speaks of our faith. Like begets like. What puts a gleam in your eye? What is it that gets your attention? What do you like to talk about? What you believe, you will speak.Daily Reading
