Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother.

It was Andrew who brought his brother Peter to Christ. Andrew himself became the first apostle to follow Christ. This he decided when he heard John the Baptist say of Jesus, "Behold the Lamb of God!"[8] Andrew was always bringing someone to Jesus. It was Andrew who brought the lad with the loves and fish.[9] Andrew and Philip brought to Jesus the Greeks who asked, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."[10] Andrew was with Peter, James and John when they in confidence asked Jesus about His future coming. Little else is know from the scriptures of this one who is recorded three times bringing people to Christ. Yet, this may be more than enough to know about this fisherman, the brother of Simon Peter.
