Watch Out For Articulate Lies

Scripture
How forceful are right words! But what does your arguing prove?
(Job 6:25)
Devotional
Job understood that no matter how good the argument, if void of the truth, it will prove to be powerless. Job’s friends were articulate and persuasive. They made a lot of sense. The only problem with them was that they did not apply to Job. Job held on to his integrity. He never wavered in his belief in God, nor his innocents. The lesson is clear. Do not allow anyone to steal your truth. No matter how good their arguments, stand on your integrity. You may not have the answers to their arguments, because their questions and statements are illegitimate. Not every question is deserving of an answer. Questions like answers can be lies. As every answer is not the truth, neither is every question truthful. Right words are words of truth, and these are forceful. Rhetorical arguments are just words that sound good and are driven by emotion instead of the truth. Therefore as Job, hold on to your integrity.
