I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God and they shall be My people.(Hebrews 8:10)
Devotional
Our minds know the laws of God by way of the conscience. Our hearts know them by way of His Spirit. They are confirmed by His Word. Therefore we are without excuse with regard to knowing the will of the Lord for our lives. It is simply a matter of obedience. If there is darkness in our lives we can be assured that there is something to which we are not obedient. The ways and laws of God are for our well being. The laws are not dictates for the sake of themselves. They are given that we might have success in the things God has called us to do. We have not been given life to be miserable; we have been given life that is to be abundant and filled with joy. This we can have if we walk in obedience to what we know. When we do not violate our consciences or harden our hearts to the Spirit’s prompting we will grow in more grace and knowledge, and He will be our God and we shall be His people.Daily Reading
