Scripture
If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord… and do what is right… I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.(Exodus 15:26)
Devotional
There are requirements for the healing power of God to be manifest in the lives of His people. The primary requirement is obedience. God has given us sound wisdom with regard to taking care of these temples we call bodies. There are dietary, hygienic and physical directives given that the wise heed. We are to eat wisely, live cleanly and observe a Sabbath weekly. If we keep the wise counsel of God and sickness still comes, we have a bold privilege to go to the God of all healing. When sickness or various infirmities come our way, the first thing we are to do is take them to the Lord who heals us. ?We are to be wise and use those gifted and educated in healing. Doctors and hospitals are wonderful institutions; nevertheless, all healing comes from the hand of the Lord. Therefore, He is to be our first visit. He is the God who heals you.Daily Reading
