House Inspection

Scripture
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
(Mark 3:25)
Devotional
Divorce is rampant. The institution of marriage is in danger. Marriages that do stay together are often little more than tenants, and families are often just a group of people living in the same place. The root cause is sin. The fruit of that sin is division. Husbands, wives and children have totally separate lives. There are different friends, interests and dreams. A family can live in the same house and never see each other. When the children are home they are in their rooms, talking on their phone, listening to their music or watching their television. There are seldom greetings and good-byes. There is little conversation. If there are words spoken, that is all that they are, just words; seldom are there complete sentences spoken. These are a few evidences of a house divided. These are sure signs of a house about to fall. This is a house that needs to change. Somebody must take charge. Somebody who has love enough to keep the house together.

How timely. I have sadly seen "division" forced on many. That is why we offer Divorce Care ministry at our Church called Sonrise. One in the union hardens their heart, asserts their agenda above their vows. Jesus said it first, President Abraham Lincoln agreed "every city or house divided against itself will not stand" Matt 12:25b

I say; be the "designated driver" if one in your union has 'lost their mind', kindly take the wheel - get home safely. By God's grace, work it out when you are both clear minded. Love one another!
