God’s Seven Day Plan

Scripture
Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation…
(Leviticus 23:3)
Devotional
We are designed to work for six days and rest one. This is God’s perfect plan for success and prosperity. Neither can be neglected. There are to be six days of work and one day of resting in the Lord, a Sabbath. God says that He designed the Sabbath just for us. Furthermore, he says that it is to be a day when God’s people assemble together for the purpose of rest and worship. For the past two thousand years that day has been the Lord’s day, Sunday. This is not God’s suggestion; it is His perfect will for man. Go ahead and try to succeed by working any other plan and watch your plan flounder. Oh, you might have an appearance of outward success, but in your heart you will know that you are failing. Here is the perfect plan: Remember, this is the day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it, all seven of them.
