Success Begins In Prayer

Scripture
For to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning
(Psalm 5:2-3)
Devotional
The wise begin their day in fellowship with their Creator. The foolish allow the day to just happen. There is no planning. There is no seeking of God’s will. There is, therefore, no purpose, only existence. Each day runs into the next. Life becomes a series of haphazard events, and all because there is no divine direction. There is no need for any man or woman to be foolish. The psalmist gives direction for the beginning of a successful day. We would be better off leaving our home naked than leaving home without having spent time with the Lord. If we truly desire success for the day and rest through the night, we must at least begin and end each day in prayer and God’s Word. We must do so religiously. We cannot afford to waste even one day of life. Each day is precious in the sight of God and it ought to be precious in our sight. Let the Lord hear your voice in the morning.
