Devotional
Have you ever been thirsty, really thirsty? There is nothing that will quench real thirst like cool clear water. It is good physically work and need the refreshment of water. It is better to spiritually work and desire the refreshment that only the Lord can bring. We have a choice, we can thirst for Him know, or we can thirst for Him later. Consider the master of Lazarus in sixteenth chapter of John’s gospel. While in hell cried and said, “Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue.” O if Dives would have only thirsted for Christ in this life, he would not have such thirst in the next. Unfortunately, the greatest thirst for God will come when it is too late. It is not too late for you and me. Let us therefore work in such a way that we will thirst for the Lord our God; for we shall all come and appear before HimDaily Reading
