Transition Preparedness

(Joshua 23:1-2)
Devotional
A great leadership team always surrounds godly leadership. Anytime there is to be a significant change in the direction of an organization, a family or a business, the wise leader will gather his key players together. Joshua knew that the time of his departure was near. He knew that if he did nothing to prepare the people, that the people would be left in a, at best, state of chaos. They would have to scramble for new leadership leaving room for weakness and vulnerability. Therefore, always have your leadership team at the ready. Know who your overseers are. Have your management team at the ready. Make sure that your wise counselors are available and above all make sure that you are prepared for the transition. You may be thinking that this may be needed for a large organization, but I don’t need this kind of preparation for my family or my affaires. Maybe that is why your affaires are the way that they are.

I am currently dealing with a difficult family situation. There were no real directions or information left for us to follow. Chaos has become the norm. Although some subjects appear unpleasant to discuss they are vital.
