Prudent Teaching

Scripture
The wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increases knowledge.
(Proverbs 16:21)
Devotional
The wise in heart are those who have a heart for God. A heart for God is an obedient heart. Therefore he or she cannot help but to be prudent. Everything they do will be done carefully and with good judgment. The wise in hart will likewise be able to teach others the benefits of a wise heart or a heart for God. This ability will be multiplied because of a happy countenance. Basically, we are better teachers when smiling than when coercing. With kindness of speech and gentleness of words we can change the hardest of hearts. The apostle Peter says, “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” If you have a wise heart, you will be prudent in your dealings; and you will likewise be able to get others to follow your example by teaching them with a sweet countenance and kind-hearted words.
