Title

Do What You Know

Scripture
I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
(John 16:12)
Devotional
God in His graciousness measures out to us only those things we can handle. He will never give us more than we can bear. Therefore we are to do what we know. The more we walk in obedience to the things we know, the more we will get to know. The key to knowing the will of the Lord for our lives is to obey the things we do know. “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” When we find ourselves unable to discern God’s will for our lives, we can be sure that it is because we are not obeying the things that we know to do. God will not give us more than we can handle, nor will He give us more than we are willing to obey. There are many things that the Lord desires to reveal to us, but we are not ready to bear them. Let us walk in obedience to what we do know and seek to know more.

1 Corinthians 10;13... There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
