Title

We Do Not Have To Argue

Scripture
It is honorable for a man to stop striving, since any fool can start a quarrel.
(Proverbs 20:3)
Devotional
There is seldom if ever a need for wrathful strife, especially among those called Christian. If we belong to Christ, there is no need to strive with each other. The only striving there ought to be is the striving for unity. At this writing, my wife Sherry and I have been married for thirty-four years. Believe it or not, we do not argue. Our children have never heard us raise our voices toward each other. We are by no means passive, I am full-blooded Italian and my with is German. We are emotional people, but we have chosen not to argue. Likewise, with my two brothers, we are extremely close, but do not argue. We just do not do it. We have difference, but we are able by the grace of God to work them out without quarreling. I have had people tell me that this is impossible. If you see is as such, reread the our text and ask, “Am I honorable, or foolish.

I agree ....There are other ways to voice opinions than to argue. Being Italian and Spanish myself, there are other ways to settle a "Difference of Opinion" than raising our voices.
I have discovered that people "Get the Point" more by not raising your voice and talking calmly, vice yelling at them.
