Title

A Christian In The Market Place

Scripture
“It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; but when he has gone his way, then he boasts.”
(Proverbs 20:14:)
Devotional
Sound familiar? A vendor is asking a certain price for his products, but you wrangle until the price is greatly reduced complaining all the while. You then go home and do what? You brag about the great deal you got.?This seems to be customary, but is it godly? Does this kind of business glorify God? It is good business to at least ask, “Is that the best you can do?” Likewise, it is fitting to ask a fair market price for your products. This is not only good business; it is godly business. ?Is it proper for a merchant to make a profit? Yes. Is it appropriate to pay a fair price for desired products? Yes. But let us not be so afraid of being taken advantage of that we become no better than the hagglers of this world. ?Remember, you are to remain a Christian, even in the marketplace.
