Title

There is Only One “Know It All”

Scripture
No doubt you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.
(Job 12:2)
Devotional
Job’s friends deserved his ironic sarcasm. Job’s friends thought that they clearly had the answers to Job’s problems. They judged Job by their own understanding and their own character. They judged him wrongly. There are at least two things for certain when it comes to judging the character of another. First of all, we will always judge according to our own character. That is we think that their attitude and reasoning is the same as ours. Secondly there will always be at least one thing, of which we do not know or understand. We will not see the whole picture or hear the whole story. It is one thing to judge a deed or action; it is quite another thing to judge a person who is the recipient of those deeds and actions. There is only one “Know it all” and you are not He. You and I are not the people, and wisdom will not die with us.
