Title

The Testimony Of The Righteous

Scripture
In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear.
(Isaiah 54:14)
Devotional
Our righteousness is not based on our own merit and goodness, it is based on our faith in Christ. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” This righteousness is to free us from inordinate fear, and without fear there is no intimidation or oppression. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” What is it that God has placed on your heart to accomplish? What are your dreams, goals and desires? If you knew that nobody could oppress you and that you had nothing to fear, what would there be to stop you? This is the fruit of the righteousness found in Christ. Listen again to the text, “In righteousness you shall be established.” The very first Psalm says, “And whatever he does shall prosper.” Where there is no fear, there are no oppressors. This is the testimony of the righteous.

Wow, that is powerful text. We've already won the war, so why do we worry about the small battles?
