Title

Let Us Not Be Deceived Anymore

Scripture
Thus says the Lord, ‘Do not deceive yourselves, saying, “The Chaldeans will surely depart from us…”’
(Jeremiah 37:9)
Devotional
When the judgments of God are announced, the fool will say, “It's not so.” If we think that we can continue in our sin without sin’s penalty having to be paid, we are deceiving ourselves. If we continue to live our lives void of righteousness and holiness and not bear the fruit of that lifestyle, again it is foolish deception. Let us not deceive ourselves by thinking that God does not mind the horrid condition of a sinful nation. We are deceiving ourselves to think that God will tolerate the intolerable and accept the unacceptable. To think that we can continue on a godless course and not receive the just judgment of God is not only deceptive, it is beyond foolish. Let us, therefore, hear the warnings of the prophet. Let us not hide our heads in the proverbial sand anymore. Let us repent of our ways and turn back to the ways of the Creator. Let us not be deceived any longer.
