Devotional
The central doctrine of the Christian faith is the deity of Christ. To know Him in any other way is not to know Him at all. Jesus Christ is not only the Son of God; He is God the Son. “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” The deity of Christ is the plumb line of the faith. It divides true Christianity from cultic faith. If Satan can convince us that Jesus Christ is just another prophet or good moral teacher, he will succeed in relegating Christ to the ranks of opinion. Christ must be dealt with on the level of who He is. He is God. Therefore we must come to Him on His terms, not ours. He is the covenant maker. He sets the rules. And His covenant is everlasting and His rules are based on justice and love. Do you know Him? Do you know who He is? Do you know that He is Lord God Almighty?Daily Reading
