Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.(Psalm 126:5)
Devotional
Tears are the floodwaters of the soul. They expose the deep recesses of the heart. That which is done in tears is done from the depths of our being. When we can continue in tears, we are enduring to the maximum degree. Tears, more than often, stop or, at best, hinder endeavors. Some would say that only the weak cry. Not so, both the weak and the strong cry. The only difference is that the weak quit in their tears and the strong endure through their tears. Therefore, when heartaches come, and they will come, let the tears flow unashamedly. Never, never be embarrassed or ashamed to cry. Remember, “Jesus wept.” But He did not quit. He endured the cross and therefore was able to reap in joy. The greatest of victories will come through the floodwaters of tears. Tears of sorrow endured lead to tears of joy revered.Daily Reading
