Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.(1 John 4:11)
Devotional
If I love God then I ought to love those whom He loves. If you are good enough for Christ Jesus, you ought to be good enough for me. Love is not an effeminate or a macho trait. Love is a godly, powerful characteristic. It is not something we fall into. Love is something that we have the power to choose. We can fall into a lot of things. We fall into ditches and lust, but we do not fall into love. Love is commanded of us, therefore we have the ability to love those whom God has commanded us to love. The Word of God is clear. We are to love the stranger because we were once strangers. We are to love our neighbors. We are to love our spouses and families. We are to love the church, the body of Christ. And in case there are any who do not fall into this category, we are to even love our enemies.Daily Reading
