He Is Worthy To Receive Your Best
Scripture
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!(Revelation 5:12)
Devotional
Christ is not lacking these things; He is the source of them. These are gifts from God to mankind. What we see here in the book of Revelation is mankind laying these gifts back at the feet of Jesus. He is worthy to receive them because He is the Creator of them. There is no power except from God. There are no true riches except from His hand. He is wisdom. Strength comes from His right hand. Honor, glory and blessings reflect the essence of His character. If we have any of these attributes, we can be assured that they come down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Furthermore, we do not have to wait for heaven to lay these at His feet; we can do so now. Daily, we can surrender who we are to Him, realizing that He will, in turn, multiply them back to us.Daily Reading
