Devotional
There are many gods that men follow. There is the god of humanism, the god of nationalism, the god of patriotism and even gods of sports and hobbies. Mankind, in his foolishness, will worship just about anything that gives him the slightest bit of pleasure, often without realizing that he is a worshipper of a false god. We will know our god or gods by the amount of conversation we give to them. There are people, for example, that talk about the god of golf more than the God of gods. We often, as the apostle Paul said to the Romans, “Exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.” What occupies your time, your thoughts and your energy? Whose name is on your lips? “For all people walk each in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.”Daily Reading
