He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good.(Proverbs 19:8)
Devotional
Ignorance is more than often a choice we make instead of a result of heredity or environment. My step-father used to tell me, "Son, there are those who don't know, and they don't know that they don't know. Help them. There are those who don't know and think that they do know. Avoid them. And there are those who know and know that they know. Follow them. Do you understand?" If we are not choosing to increase in knowledge, wisdom and understanding we will not find the good that we seek in life. If we get knowledge, wisdom and understanding, we will not only find good, we will enjoy it as well. Think about the people you know who are blessed with many material blessings, yet are unhappy. They fail to love their own souls. Why? Because they lack wisdom and understanding. Their souls do not know how to rejoice in their blessings.Daily Reading
