Sleep to Work

Scripture
Laziness casts one into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger.
(Proverbs 19:15)
Devotional
Laziness produces more laziness. The less we do the less we desire to do. Sleep produces more sleep and idleness produces more idleness. Tiered people run the world. However, it is a good tired. It is a tired that brings healthy refreshing sleep. Tiredness that is caused by laziness cannot be quenched. It is addictive slothfulness. The less the lazy does the less they desire to do. It is a perpetual slumber. Proverbs further warns us, "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep—So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler.”[1] Therefore the best remedy for constant tiredness is diligent work. Rise early, even though sleepy. Get up and get out. Do not allow the depression of too much sleep to rule in your life. Make the purpose of sleep refueling time not a time of escape. Why suffer hunger? Why not have a full, rich life?
