Rising Up Early

Scripture
And now...says the Lord...“I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you, but you did not answer.”
(Jeremiah 7:13)
Devotional
I am convinced that if we are willing to listen, God will speak to us daily. Moreover, He will speak to us, “rising up early”. Each day is the day that the Lord has made. Each day we are to rejoice and be glad.(1)
I believe that if we are willing to listen, He will guide and direct our days. It is for this reason that we are to give the Lord the freshest and best part of our days. The mornings seem to be what God considers the best part of the day. We have just fasted, our minds should be the clearest, and our bodies rested.
Each day can be seen as a day of new beginnings. New opportunities await us. We can choose a day of mediocrity or a day of favor. The Lord God desires to give us instruction. He does speak, but are we willing to listen? He does call, but are we going to answer?

(1) Psalm 118:24

Yes, I do agree. This is a conviction that my husband and I totally agree on. Also our two boys. My conviction is God is first. That mean I wake up early in the morning and pour out my love toward God. And then let my day begin. I know that is the right thing to do. Have a great day.
