Devotional
Reverence has been lost to the laid-back culture of our day. Respect has become archaic etiquette. We no longer rise in the presence of the aged or those to whom once were considered dignified. Men wear hats when they should not and women do not, when they should. Manners have all but been lost. Protocol has vanished from sight. Graciousness cannot be defined nor proper behavior understood. And we wonder why there is no reverence for God. We have destroyed it by our casual attitude toward life and all that it has to offer. When was the last time you prayed on your knees or lifted you hands in adoration to the Creator of the universe? Some would think that they are too dignified; when in reality they are too ignorant of the reverence do when standing on holy ground. Reverence, manners, protocol and graciousness need to return to our culture. Let it begin with us.Daily Reading
