As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth This is the gift of God.(Ecclesiastes 5:19)
Devotional
Christians have struggled with riches and wealth throughout the history of the Church. There have been godly people who have seen financial prosperity as evil and there have likewise been those who have seen it as a blessing from the Lord. It is usually those who do not prosper who see prosperity as evil; and those who do prosper who see prosperity as good. However, opinion, experience, and feelings are only to be relevant with regard to the Word of God. What does the Bible say about riches and wealth? It does merit prayerful study. I have found the scripture to be clear. Wealth and riches gained by dishonesty will not last. Wealth and riches gained honestly are a blessing of the Lord. If you work hard, and do not violate your conscience, the Holy Spirit, or the Word of God, “This is the gift of God.”Daily Reading
