Title

Conscience of Christ

Scripture
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”
(Hebrews 10:16)
Devotional
The only way to have the law of God in our hearts and written in our minds is to have the mind of Christ. The only way to have the mind of Christ is to have Christ as Lord and Savior. The book of Colossians calls it, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”(1) Here we have the Spirit connecting with the body and soul. That connection is found in the conscience. Our consciences are mentioned some thirty times in the scriptures. When we have the Spirit of God, we will have a natural inclination with regard to right and wrong. As long as we do not reject the prompting of the Lord, He will continue to guide us through the witness of the conscience. Our consciences will always be a good guide as long as they do not contradict God’s Word. Once we receive the engrafted Word (2) it will be settled in our minds and hearts. It will always accomplish what it is set out to do. It will not return void. (3)
