Title

Marking the Scoundrel

Scripture
Now therefore, know and consider what you will do… For he is such a scoundrel that one cannot speak to him.
(1 Samuel 25:17)
Devotional
Have you ever know a person such as Nabal: hard headed and unteachable to the point that they are unapproachable? The only thing worse than encountering this type of person is being this type of person. There is little or nothing you can do with such a person other than love them and mark them. Be merciful, as we are to be merciful with all people, but likewise tell them the truth when the opportunity arises. Never patronize or appease them for the sake of keeping the peace. However do your best to avoid having them involved in what you do. Herein is how we love them, but mark them. If enough people alienate themselves from them, maybe, just maybe they will get a clue that they are scoundrels. If you find yourself being avoided, maybe, just maybe you are like Nabal: such a scoundrel that no one can speak to you.
