Title

The Journey Of Increase

Scripture
One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion gathers it for him who will pity the poor.
(Proverbs 28:8)
Devotional
Dishonest, manipulative gain does not pay. God has a way of taking this deceitful gain and getting it to those who pity the poor. God will not and cannot bless that which is done against His will. There may appear to be those who succeed at dishonest gain, but their success will prove to be great failure in the end. But those whose gain is gotten by honest work; integrity and giving will receive multiplied fruit from their labor, especially if they have pity on the poor. How do we pity the poor? We pity them by helping them out of their poverty. We use our success for the success of others. We grow and do our best to bring others along side of us that they may grow also. It is more than just giving people a hand out. It is giving them what they need to prosper by their own labor and initiative.
