Title

Our Enemy Has Been Defeated

Scripture
To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear.
(Luke 1:74.)
Devotional
The enemy of the believer is the Devil. (1) We have been delivered from his hand. He no longer has his talons embedded in our flesh. Therefore, he is no longer to be feared. He is likewise no longer to be toyed with. We are to deal with him the same way that Michael the archangel did in the book of Jude. (2) Michael simply said, “The Lord rebuke you.”
If Christ is the authority in our lives, then Satan has no authority in them. We now can serve Christ with all our hearts without the slightest bit of fear of the Devil. Again, let me reiterate; leave Satan in the hands of the Lord. Do not contend with him. If you do, you will lose. Focus on Christ and His strength. Trust Him. Go into your endeavors with zeal and joy. Always realize that though Satan is against you, Christ is for you. Therefore, you can serve the Lord without fear.

(1) 1 Peter 5:8, (2) Jude 1:9
