God Hears You

Scripture
The Lord said to him: "I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me."
(1 Kings 9:3)
Devotional
God does hear our prayers and supplications. Prayer is our communing with God. It is the phone line to heaven. Supplication is humbly, yet boldly, appealing to God for a need or request. I love Philippians 4:6, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."(1)
Remember, prayer is more than asking. It is the act of worship, fellowship and communion with the very Creator of the universe. It is time spent with God-talking with Him and enjoying His company. Supplication is a time that follows worship. It is when we make our request. God already knows what we want and need;(2) nevertheless, He wants us to ask believing. This we are to do, giving thanks both in word and attitude. God heard Solomon because of his righteousness; He hears us because of Christ's righteousness in us.

(1) Philippians 4:6, (2) Matthew 6:32
