Title

What Will Be Remembered About You?

Scripture
Oh, that my words were written! Oh, that they were inscribed on a rock with an iron pen and lead, forever.
(Job 19:23-24)
Devotional
Well, Job’s words were written and they will be remembered forever. How about your words? What will be remembered about you? If it were not for still pictures and now video cameras, there would be no record of most folks’ lives at all. How sad for a life to be so quickly forgotten. For example, I know next to nothing about my maternal grandparents. They died before I was born. I know of only one picture of them, and at best it shows some of their physical characteristics. What kind of written legacy are you leaving your children and your children’s children? Why not keep a journal or diary if you will. I began writing these daily devotions for my children. What a joy to know that their children will be able to read grandfather’s beliefs. Take a few minutes each day. Write about not only your experiences, but your thoughts and emotions as well. Write as if you were leaving your words for posterity, because you will.
