We Have the Heart of the King
Scripture
As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable.(Proverbs 25:3)
Devotional
As a believer, you are not only a child of the King, but a king. The book of Revelation tells us, “[He] has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”(1) The world cannot understand the heart and thoughts of the children of God. Isaiah tells us, “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’”(2) We are not to be surprised when the world mocks our stand and laughs at our ways, nor are we to be discouraged. The unregenerate mind is unable to fathom the things of eternity and the things that truly matter in the scope of life. Therefore, never see yourself as inferior because of the world’s lack of understanding. It is the world that is inferior; because they do not know what you know nor do they know whom you know.(1) Revelation 1:6, (2) Isaiah 55:8-9
