Title

Ignorance Is A Bad Choice

Scripture
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you
(Hosea 4:6)
Devotional
It is one thing to be ignorant because of a lack of information; it is quite another thing to be ignorant because of choice. Nevertheless, that is exactly what the people did. They chose ignorance. We may not think that we choose to be ignorant. However, when we choose not to pray, read and study our Bibles or attend church, we are choosing ignorance. I have countless times received calls on Mondays for help concerning things that I have preached on Sundays. Inevitably, those who call on Mondays, were not in church on Sunday. I am forever amazed how many good people choose a lack of knowledge. When trials and troubles come, instead of embracing the things of God, they flee from them. They have an attitude that says, “I’m having some problems, but as soon as I get them straightened out, I’ll come back to church. How foolish!
