A stone is heavy and sand is weighty, but a fool's wrath is heavier than both of them.(Proverbs 27:3)
Devotional
Forceful, vindictive anger is the fruit of wrath. We have recently witnessed this fool's wrath in the terrorist attacks on the United States of America. Claiming that their wrath is justified by their god. In their foolish ignorance the wrath of hell was unleashed. The sadist fact of this kind of wrath is that it is capable of manifesting itself in any of us. Maybe not to the extreme that these fools excercised, but nevertheless it is there. We see cowardly wrath on our freeways, in our families and schools. There is no room for any measure of man's wrath. There is only one justifiable wrath, that is the wrath of God, which will come on the children of disobedience. My fear is that the wrath of the terrorist may have been allowed by the wrath of God. Wrath released on us because of our disregard for the sanctity and order of human life. May God have mercy on us.Daily Reading
