Title

Becoming A Good Lump Of Clay

Scripture
Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
(Romans 9:21)
Devotional
Let God be God. We must never forget that there is a Creator who chooses to create as he desires. Therefore, God is able to make from the same family, one excelling child and one fair child. He is able to make one man a worker of art and another a digger of holes. He is also able to create from the same lump of a man honor or dishonor. We need to see ourselves as one lump of clay in the Potter’s hands; realizing that He has all the power. However, if we are good clay, we have a greater hope to be vessels of honor. We have the power to be good clay. Good clay is made from obedience. When we are obedient to the Word of God and the Spirit of God we become precious clay in the hands of the Master Potter. Therefore, we become clay suitable for honor.
